Safety by Design
Designing for safety: Preventing harm before it happens
The inaugural Safety by Design Conference brings together regulators, industry leaders, customer advocates, vulnerability specialists and lived expertise to confront a critical question: what would our systems look like if customer safety were designed in from the start?
Over two days, we’ll shift the conversation from reaction to proactive prevention. Critically, we will centre the reality that safety and privacy failures are not neutral—they can directly expose victim-survivors to harm.
Crucially, the conference explores how these risks can and must be systematically designed out. Presenters will lean into the impact of regulation and explore innovation, first-mover insights, and best practices.
Safety by Design is a call to action for leaders who recognise that trust, inclusion, and safety are now fundamental to good design — and that preventing harm before it occurs is a shared responsibility.
