QLD Public Sector AO 5-6 Critical Thinking & Problem Solving Workshop

In fast-moving public sector roles, there’s rarely time to properly step back, analyse complex issues, and think through decisions clearly before moving to the next priority.

The QLD Public Sector AO 5-6 Critical Thinking & Problem Solving Workshop is designed to help professionals strengthen their judgement, approach problems more effectively, and communicate clearer recommendations in complex working environments.

Across two practical days, you’ll explore tools and frameworks to help you analyse issues more critically, evaluate competing information, and approach decision-making with greater confidence.

Practical outcome-driven models for critical thinking and problem solving

• Unpack critical thinking as a mental process and set of action steps to address everyday problems
• Use a structured systems thinking approach to analysing problems and designing solutions
• Leverage the skills of creative and lateral thinking in complex problem solving
• Overcome common roadblocks to critical thinking and problem solving
